KIP leads this round and Sang-Ho Park, Executive Director of the Investment Division at KIP joins Appota\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>This is Appota&#8217;s third funding round since its inception more than 5 years ago. Appota secured a series A round from VNP-Group in 2012, and a series B round from <a href=\"http:\/\/gmo-vp.com\/gpf\/\">GMO Global Payment Fund<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/goldengate.vc\">Golden Gate Ventures<\/a>\u00a0 in 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The series C investment marks KIP\u2019s first financing for a Vietnamese company, and Mirae\u2019s first tech portfolio in Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The joint funding by Korea Investment Partners and Mirae leads Appota to a new milestone, where the company will continue to reinforce its number one position in digital content distribution, as well as revving up its newly established advertising and fintech businesses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to the investment in Appota, Korea Investment Partners has had a strong track record in investing in the world\u2019s leading tech companies, including Kakao, Naver and Super Evil Megacorp.
